BEN SPARROW (originally from North Carolina) has been active on the South Florida music scene for more than a decade. This month (October 2026) Ben is celebrating the release of his first full length recording as a solo artist, “A BETTER PLACE”. Performance credits include the North Carolina Symphony, The Drifters, Under The Streetlamp and the Florida Wind Symphony Jazz Orchestra. He has also performed and/or recorded with Brazilian jazz artists Phill Fest, Nanny Assis, Isac Jamba and Gafieira Rio Miami. Ben was one of the founding members of the Delray Jazz Collective, dedicated to performing original compositions and fusing various styles. In addition, he lends his warm saxophone sound to Blues Equation, an organ quartet featuring Hammond artist Tom Regis. Ben’s music has led him to performances at the Palm Beach International Jazz Festival, Jazz Fest Pompano Beach, and Fiesta Sunset Jazz in the Dominican Republic.

Come out for a Special Evening with Premier Singer MELISSA LAWRENCE as she Celebrates her Jamaican and Caribbean Roots. Featuring the Music of Bob Marley along with other Timeless Caribbean Folk Song Favorites. This will certainly be a Passionate and Fun Evening of Live Music. MELISSA LAWRENCE is a singer, songwriter, recording artist and musician with a passion for the performing arts. She graduated from Florida State University where she studied Theatre and earned a Degree in Creative writing. Melissa has worked with Heartbeat Entertainment as an opening act for gospel legends, including Cece Winans, Shirley Ceasar, Erica Campbell and Sandi Patty. She is dedicated to connecting with others as she spreads love through her music.

LINDSEY BLAIR was named the Best Jazz Musician of 2011 by the Miami New Time Magazine. Lindsey was also an official guitarist for Sabado Gigante, Don Francisco’s reggaetonero Daddy Yankee. But it was Wes Montgomery that got him started on the guitar. Jazz is his passion. He studied the form at University of Miami for his Bachelor and Masters degrees. He has also toured with Maynard Ferguson, as well as played with Dizzy Gilespie. He has also worked for years with Gloria Estefan and Emilio Estefan, and he performed with the Miami Sound Machine at Super Bowl XLII. Lindsey is a guitarist that is driven by a passion for playing and being inspired by music rather that fortune and fame. He is most satisfied with his work when he has been able to break new musical ground, and /or spend some time with his favorite kind of people, musicians.

ADRIAN JONES was raised in Dayton Ohio and was surrounded by music since birth. His father was the lead guitarist and background vocalist for the 1970's funk band HEAT WAVE. The two lead vocalists were his uncles, Johnny and Keith Wilder. Adrian moved to Florida to pursue his dreams of singing, dancing, performing and composing as a professional musician and performer. He is one of the most in demand vocalists on the South Florida music scene and brings such positive energy and joy to all his projects and performances.

DAVID FERNANDEZ is a Grammy and Latin Grammy award winner who began his career as a jazz musician in Miami, Fl. He first studied jazz at Miami Senior High School under the direction of Dr. Brian Leavell. He earned an invitation to New York to perform with the McDonald’s All-American High School Band his senior year. He also won an honorable mention from Downbeat Magazine for best high school performer, and won first place for Best Original Composition. He received a 2023 Grammy for his work on the “Best Reggae Album”, The Kalling by Kabaka Pyramid. His Latin Grammy Award was for his performance on “Made in Miami”, by Richard Bravo and Camilo Valencia. Upon graduation, he enrolled at the University of Miami and earned his Bachelor’s Degree. Shortly after, he continued his studies at Florida International University under the direction of Gary Campbell and completed his Master’s Degree. David began his career touring with Latin pop-star Chayanne. Along the way, he has toured with such artists as Jon Secada, Gloria Estefan, Darryl Tookes, and K.C. and the Sunshine Band. He has shared the stage with Joe Henderson, Paquito D’ Rivera, Randy Brecker, Kenny Werner, Gerry Mulligan, Bob Minzer, Willy Chirino, Nestor Torres, Rafael, The O.J.’s, The Funk Brothers, Peabo Bryson, Nate Smith, Ignacio Berroa, Patti Austin, and Queen Latifa.

DIDIER LABOSSIERE was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Miami, Florida. The son of Haitian immigrants, Didier’s heritage is deeply rooted into his music, from the jazz sounds of Chicago to the Caribbean and Latin sounds of Miami, which had a major influence on his musical development. Didier fell in love with music at the age of six. He began his music education in high school under his mentors Ralph D’ Ovidio and Ed Manina at North Miami Senior High. After high school Didier continue to perfect his craft and study under many musicians such as Gary Keller, Richi Perri, Neal Bosanti, Mike Rossi and Randy Emerick. Soon after, Didier began his professional career with the cultural group Koleksyon Kazak, a Haitian roots band that blended Jazz with traditional Haitian country music. An aficionado of diverse sounds and styles, Didier has played with bands that range from Bebop, Jazz, Urban, Tribal Funk and R&B with various bands such as the Jazz Five, The John Chapman Jazz Ensemble, The Baboons, Drummer Duffy Jackson and Joey Gilmore. Didier also was the lead and front man of his own band called D-Jazz Funk. Throughout his career Didier has had the opportunity to perform with the legend David Lee Roth of Van Helen, the world renown organist Dr. Lonnie Smith, and Mike Longo of the Dizzy Gillespie Band. Didier has been with the Valerie Tyson Band for 17 years and is currently the musical director of the band.

FELIPE LAMOGLIA is a Saxophonist from Cuba, a Grammy-winning artist, composer and arranger. Born and educated in Holguin, he also studied in Camaguey moving to the Superior Institute of Art (ISA). By the age of 18 he was a member of Cuba’s acclaimed band, NG La Banda. In 1992 he moved to Brazil where he lived for seven years, absorbing the country’s musical and spiritual wealth and playing with great artists such as Raul de Souza, Arismar do Espirito Santo and others. With Bocato he recorded two albums and participated in the Montreux Jazz Festival. While in Brazil, Felipe founded his own quartet, Tumbao, and taught at the University Free of Music in Sao Paulo. In 1999 Lamoglia relocated to the U.S. where he immediately began performing with the late Celia Cruz. In 2001 he began playing with Grammy winner Arturo Sandoval, performing all over the world and recording on Trumpet Evolution, as well as two DVD releases: Live at the Blue Note NYC and Live at the Ann Arbor Summer Festival. In 2004 he joined Grammy winner Gonzalo Rubalcaba, recording on his Grammy-nominated album, Paseo (Blue Note Records). In 2006 Lamoglia arranged and played on Ignacio Berroa’s debut album Codes, also released on Blue Note and nominated for a Grammy. In 2007 Felipe contributed as arranger, composer and co-production for Arturo Sandoval’s Grammy-winning album in 2008, Rumba Palace.

JOHN LOVELL picked up the trumpet at age 5 from his father who was a trumpet player and avid jazz fan. He played in school band programs from fourth grade through high school, then began playing with local jazz musicians around Indianapolis, including the former Stan Kenton drummer John Von Ohlen. He was then recruited to travel with The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, directed by Buddy Morrow and followed that with a stint with The O’Jays. In 1979 John received a full scholarship to attend the University of Miami to play with their renowned Concert Jazz Band as a featured soloist and percussionist until 1983. Miami proved to be a great environment for further development, playing with such artists as Tony Bennett, Ben E. King, Bob James, Bobby Caldwell, Willie Chorino and Paquio De Rivera, among others. 1992 saw the start of a long relationship with Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band, where he has toured and played on numerous recordings for the last 33 years. John has since performed or recorded with a unique roster of artists, including Brian Wilson, Lionel Richie, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Mac McAnally, Clint Black, George Strait, Jake Shiabukuro, Allen Toussaint, Snoop Dog, Pitbull, Zac Brown, Brandi Carlisle, Sheryl Crow, Jackson Brown, Jack Johnson, Boz Scaggs and The Eagles. He has been twice nominated for a Grammy for his work with Latin jazz percussionist Sammy Figueroa on his first two albums in 2006 and 2007. His most recent recordings include “Islands” with the 14 Jazz Orchestra and Jimmy Buffett’s last album, “Equal Strain on All Parts.” He continues tour with the Coral Reefer Band today as well as being on tour with the Doobie Brothers.
