Being of Bahamian and Jamaican descent, Waldron grew up in the sunshine state of Florida. Waldron attended Broward College, in Broward County Florida where he achieved his AA Degree in music performance, and finished his studies most recently at Florida State University (FSU) where he achieved his bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Music Performance. As a well-known freelance musician, Waldron’s repertoire consist of jazz, reggae, soca, Junkanoo, orchestral and symphony work, R&B, soul, and church gospel. Waldron is currently Director of the Jazz Studies program at Broward College, as well as the president and co-founder of the “Travis Quinn Young Musicians Foundation”. RYAN DEVLIN is a 28-year-old Jazz saxophonist and instructor from Orlando, FL. Ryan started his musical journey with his father Scott Devlin who was the leader of the Walt Disney World Sax Quartet. Music was always in their home when Ryan was a child as Scott was teaching lessons, practicing for his next gig, or listening to records. Ryan immediately became interested and asked his dad to teach him saxophone at age 9 after having played the piano for 3 years. Since then, Ryan has been practicing, gigging, and teaching every day. Ryan completed a Jazz Performance master’s degree at The New England Conservatory in Boston under the instruction of saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi in 2023 and now fills in at NEC for Mr. Bergonzi when he is away. Ryan has been a member and featured soloist in ensembles including The Florida All State Jazz Band, The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, and The Orlando Jazz Orchestra. Ryan has toured a majority of the United States & Canada playing at famous jazz clubs like Smalls in NYC, Chris’ Jazz Cafe in Philadelphia, Sculler’s Jazz Club in Boston, Timucua Arts Foundation in Orlando, The Rex in Toronto, and Rudy’s Jazz Room in Nashville. He is also the 2017 winner of the Central Florida Jazz Society Scholarship Competition and was runner up in the 2017 Bob Washington Jazz Scholarship Competition. Ryan has taken lessons with world class musicians Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, Alain Bradette, Lucas Pino, and Airmen of Note Tedd Baker. He has performed and/or recorded with pianists Davis Whitfield Jr. and Mike Bond, saxophonists Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, Ravi Coltrane, Steve Kortyka, and Dave Pollack, bassist Gene Perla, drummers Adam Nussbaum, Ulysses Owens Jr., John Lumpkin and many other notable musicians.

She is an accomplished jazz, latin, and contemporary music artist recognized for her musical versatility who has impacted audiences and garnered respect and praise for her artistry, musicianship, and improvisational skills across genres. She holds a BM and MM degree in Studio Music & Jazz Vocal Performance from the University of Miami Frost School of Music, and throughout her time at UM, earned five DownBeat awards. Throughout the years, Vivian has performed and/or recorded background vocals with some of the top names in the music industry, including Juan Gabriel, José José, Cristian Castro, Jon Secada, Gloria Estefan, Dionne Warwick, Patti Austin, Dave Grusin, Bruce Hornsby, Carmen Bradford, Kevin Mahogany, Eliane Elias, and many more. She has toured internationally and performed on worldwide television specials and award shows like the Billboard Latin Music Awards and the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame La Musa Awards, and has been a part of major and indie label studio sessions, music videos, voice overs, and productions. Aside from being a performing artist, Vivian is also an accomplished music educator. Over the years, she has taught voice, piano, and music theory thru her private studio and at Miami-Dade College, the University of Miami, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and has directed award-winning jazz, latin and contemporary ensembles. Vivian Ortega has been songwriting and producing in recent years and is working on original music for future release. She is a supporter of arts education and other philanthropic causes, and as she continues her work as an artist and educator, she is committed to continuing and expanding her support for them on and off the stage.

Beatriz Malnic is a Brazilian-American vocalist, vocal arranger, classical pianist, and Co-Director of Brazilian Voices. She arrived in the United States in 1996. Beatriz is a renowned interpreter of Bossa Nova and Samba and has performed and recorded with artists such as Al Di Meola, Nestor Torres, Toquinho, Chico Buarque, Roberto Menescal, Duduka da Fonseca, jazz pianists Mike Renzi and Mike Orta, saxophonist Harry Allen, and bassist and producer Don Wilner, among others. In addition to her work as a performer, Beatriz is an active educator, offering vocal master classes and coaching vocalists at institutions such as the Brazilian Music Institute at the University of Florida, L’Auditori in Barcelona, Spain, Ignacio de Loyola Church in the Vatican, and at the 2011 Haiti Jazz Festival. Beatriz is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Brazilian Voices, a 30-member all-female vocal group based in South Florida. The non-profit organization performs both locally and internationally.

JOHN COLLINGE (originally from New Haven, CT) graduated from New York City’s New School University in 2011 with a BFA in music performance (saxophone) and a BA in history. His teachers include Reggie Workman, Barry Harris, Jane Ira Bloom, Walt Weiskopf, George Cables, Tim Price, Rachel Z, Gil Goldstein and Jim Snidero. After college he worked in New York’s music industry for Boosey and Hawkes and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), eventually rising to the position of Senior Account Executive for the Broadcast Licensing department, while continuing his career as a musician performing throughout the New York metropolitan area. Marriage in 2018 brought John to his wife’s city of Belem, Brazil where his music career flourished. In Belem, he passed a public entrance exam to become a professor of saxophone at Belem’s renowned Carlos Gomes Conservatory and was selected to play alto saxophone in the state jazz orchestra, "Amazonia Jazz Band", performing regularly at Belem’s historic Teatro da Paz and touring Brazil and many parts of South America, sharing the stage with many famous Brazilian musicians. Having recently returned to the US with his family, John has settled down in South Florida where his day job is hiring musicians for the Royal Caribbean fleet and he has quickly become one of the region's first-call jazz saxophonists. DEREK SIMS is an in-demand trumpeter, pianist and educator, in the South Florida music scene. Mr. Sims has had the privilege of performing with such artists as Benny Golson, John Pattitucci, Freda Payne, Danilo Perez, Gerald Wilson, Arturo Sandoval, Bob Mintzer, Paquito D’Rivera, Jon Faddis, Ingrid Jensen, Bobby Shew, Randy Brecker, Bobby Watson, Pancho Sanchez, Wynton Marsalis, James Moody, Ron Miles, Martha Reeves, and many others. While living in Portland, OR Mr. Sims judged at the many jazz festivals in the Pacific Northwest area. He was on the faculty of the Mel Brown Jazz Camp from 2003-2017. Concurrently, Mr. Sims was the Director of Jazz at the Metropolitan Youth Symphony from 2004-2015. He also was an Adjunct Professor of Jazz Trumpet and the Jazz Band Director at Portland State University from 2013-2018. After these two stints Mr. Sims started PJAZZ (The Portland Jazz School), and coached jazz combos from 2018-2021. After moving to South Florida in 2022, Mr. Sims maintains a private studio of jazz improv students and is working as a jazz director at the Coral Springs Charter School, and a music coach at the Somerset Silver Palms Charter School.

While attending the City University of New York, he honed his many musical talents and in 1970 became a lead singer/musician with "Joey Dee & The Starliters", touring the concert circuit - including opening for the first Rock & Roll Revival at Madison Square Garden in front of 22,000 fans, in 1971. He moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1977 to co-produce & perform in, what became, a Carbonell Award winning Cabaret show. In 1981 he opened BOBBY RODRIGUEZ PRODUCTIONS, a special events and entertainment agency. He booked and/or performed with numerous name acts, including The Temptations, Red Foxx, Flip Wilson, Tina Turner, Buddy Rich and at events such as "Sunfest", "Taste of Ft, Lauderdale", the "Hollywood Jazz Fest." and for such clients as the Boca Museum of Art, American Cancer Society, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Florida and the Miami City Ballet. In 1992 he created and produced a 16th Century themed event called the ‘Medieval Faire’. What started as a two day festival has grown into a 6 weekend event, now known as the ‘FLORIDA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL’, a major cultural & educational extravaganza, averaging 100,000 visitors each year and garnering numerous Local, National and International awards. In 2005 Bobby Rodriguez was named – “Event Professional of the Year” by the FFEA.
