DUNKLEY II, is a musical performer, arranger, and multi-faceted instrumentalist. Being of Bahamian and Jamaican descent, Waldron grew up in the sunshine state of Florida. Waldron attended Broward College, in Broward County Florida where he achieved his AA Degree in music performance, and finished his studies most recently at Florida State University (FSU) where he achieved his bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Music Performance. As a well-known freelance musician, Waldron’s repertoire consist of jazz, reggae, soca, Junkanoo, orchestral and symphony work, R&B, soul, and church gospel. Waldron is currently Director of the Jazz Studies program at Broward College, as well as the president and co-founder of the “Travis Quinn Young Musicians Foundation”. ALFONSO VELASCO began his musical journey studying piano and saxophone through school band programs and private instruction. His passion for rhythm emerged in high school, where he discovered the drums through participation in the drumline—an experience that would ultimately shape his artistic direction. He went on to further his musical education at the collegiate level, earning a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a Master’s degree from Florida International University. Throughout his career, Alfonso has performed at a wide range of venues and festivals across South Florida and beyond, building a reputation as a versatile and expressive musician. In addition to performing, Alfonso is an active educator and currently serves as an Adjunct Jazz Drum Set Professor at Broward College Central Campus. In this role, he mentors aspiring musicians, emphasizing technical development, stylistic versatility, and the importance of musical individuality. His teaching philosophy draws from both academic training and real-world performance experience, allowing him to connect deeply with students and prepare them for diverse musical careers.
